After twelve months of renovation, last Thursday the Bata Public Library opened its doors to the student population and anyone interested in culture.
On the morning of April 12, the President of the Republic, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, visited the renovation of this house of culture located in the National High School Carlos Lwanga in Bata, works that have cost the Government of Malabo approximately 350 million CFA francs, according to the sources of the company in charge of the reconstruction.
The Head of State of Equatorial Guinea appreciated with satisfaction the finish of the Public Library and on his tour he received clear and concise information from the Secretary of State for Libraries, Guillermina Mokuy Mba.
The library has two large sections and the users have access to the Internet through computers installed for this purpose. A fleet of vehicles -the mobile libraries- will be responsible for taking books to the continental region, to encourage reading habits in the country.
