At the invitation of H.E. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and the First Lady of the Nation, Constancia Mangue de Obiang, traveled on Sunday night, April 26 to Beijing, capital of China. The Head of State of Equatorial Guinea will open the “Equatorial Guinea-Asia” Economic Forum, to be held on April 30 in the city of Dalian.
This trip is the ninth State visit that the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea has made to China since taking office in 1979, coinciding with the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the governments Beijing and Malabo, whose ties get more positive results every day for both countries.
H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo will offer the keynote of the “Equatorial Guinea-Asia” Economic Forum, to be held on April 30 in the city of Dalian. Among the guests are Government officials and executives of the business world in Asia. They also expect the participation of several Equatorial Guinea Ministers of key economic sectors of the country: Finance and Budgets; Mines, Industry and Energy; Health and Social Welfare, and Agriculture and Forestry.
The objective of the forum is to put the authorities of Equatorial Guinea in touch with the investment community of Asia, as well as attract foreign direct investment to our country.
At the airport in Malabo, the Head of State and his wife were seen off at the presidential pavilion by the two Vice Presidents, Ignacio Milam Tang and Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue; the presidents of constitutional bodies and members of the recently remodeled Government, headed by the Prime Minister for Administrative Coordination, Vicente Ehate Tomi.
