Narciso Ntugu Abeso, Equatorial Guinea’s Ambassador in Spain, was born in 1957 in the town of Nvan Ovang, in the district of Mongomo and has carried out his long diplomatic career in countries as diverse as China or France. Today, he answers our questions in www.guineaecuatorialpress.com.
Equatorial Guinea’s Ambassador received us in his office at the embassy, where two large Spanish and Equatorial Guinea flags occupy the place of honor. He has already been at this chancery for two years, after having carried out other quite different posts. Narciso Ntugu received training at the Diplomatic School in Madrid, but he also studied in the Republic of Egypt and in Paris. His first professional destination was as second secretary at the Embassy of Equatorial Guinea in Lagos (Nigeria), where he remained between 1986 and 1990. Later, he went to Ethiopia, and then moved to the United States, where he became qualified in the diplomatic service to become Ambassador. His first position as such was in the French Republic, where he remained until 2002, when he moved to China. In February 2010, he arrived in Madrid for the post of Ambassador to Spain, which had previously been occupied by the now Vice President, Ignacio Milam Tang. Ntugu Abeso is also the diplomatic representative of Equatorial Guinea to the Holy See.
