The President of the Republic Paul Biya has granted audience to Baltasar Engonga Edjo, Equatorial Guinean Minister Delegate at the Presidency in Charge of Integration.
The Equatorial Guinea Minister is a special envoy of that country’s President, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
Baltasar Engonga Edjo who was received by the Head of State for over thirty minutes was bearer of a sealed message from the President of Equatorial Guinea, Theodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, to his friend and brother, President Paul Biya of Cameroon.
Speaking to the press at the end of the audience, Mr. Baltazar Engonga Edjo declared that he was not aware of the content of the message, but however indicated that it was related to cooperation ties and good neighbourliness between the two brotherly and friendly countries.
He reassured the press that there was no major concern regarding relations between the two countries but he was in Cameroon as part of ongoing regular consultations between the two countries.
The Equatorial Guinea envoy was accompanied to State House by Mr. Juan Antonio Bibang Nchuchuma, Secretary of State for National Security and Mr. Pedro Ela Nguema Buna, the Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to Cameroon.
