The design of a trial for the vaccine against this disease is presented in Malabo, on which a major international team is working.
The representatives of the biochemistry company Sanaria and the Ifakara Institute, along with key officials from the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, and that of the Department of Mines, Industry and Energy, presented in Malabo the design of the first medical trial that will help assess the safety and efficacy of a vaccine against malaria.
This way, Equatorial Guinea continues to lead this important project of international medicine and science, valued as crucial by all experts in the field.
Our country is the second in Africa to sponsor a clinical trial of this vaccine against malaria, the disease that most affects people on the continent and the leading cause of infant mortality.
