The meeting was held with the participation of president of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Donald Kaberuka, the president of the African Union Commission (AUC), Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, and the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, Carlos Lopes.
The meeting served to discuss the challenges, opportunities and priorities facing Africa in the next 50 years, and how best to coordinate efforts to support the continent’s socio-economic transformation.
The heads of the three institutions have spoken of the need for a paradigm and mindset shift, to undertake the realization of the vision of African leaders on an integrated and prosperous continent.
The three top representatives agreed to strengthen their cooperation with economic regional communities and other partners in supporting the realization of this idea.
