The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Heriberto Meco Mbengono, accompanied by the Delegate Minister, Jose Angel Borico Moises, held several meetings on Tuesday, February 17, with officials from some companies operating in the mainland.
It deals with the companies of ARG, The Arab Contrators, Zagope and Wood, whose heads were received by the Minister of Labor to remind them of some of their obligations on employment, compliance with labor legislature and the necessary positive assessment of the increasingly qualified Equatorial Guinean workers, since many young employees now come from universities.
After the National Employment Conference, sponsored by the Second Vice President, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, the Government of Equatorial Guinea drew up some guidelines for companies operating in the country to respect the labor law and, thanks to this regulation, managed to reduce unemployment.
At the meeting, in order to promote national employment, Minister Meco Mbengono asked the companies to submit their lists of employees to the ministry staff, and the appropriate selection will be made among the native workers.
During the ceremony, they also addressed training in the human resources sector that can generate a national workforce.
