H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo held audiences on Tuesday with the Minister of Youth and Sport and two delegations from Germany and Holland in the People’s Palace in Malabo.
The first meeting served the Minister of Youth and Sports, Francisco Pascual Eyegue Obama Asue, to submit to the Head of State of Equatorial Guinea and in the presence of the Director General of Youth and Sports, Pedro Mabale Fuga, the world champion of kick-boxing, Alejandro Asumu Osa, who also delivered to H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo the title of World Champion, informing him of the achievements that our country has made in this sport.
During the audience, they announced the creation of a school of kick-boxing, and spoke of the preparations for this sport’s world championship, to be held in Bangkok (Thailand) on March 3, 2012. Alejandro Asumu is classified to represent the Republic of Equatorial Guinea in the competition.
Next, the President received the delegation of the Dutch firm Vopak, composed of its president, vice president and chief financial officer. Vopak is dedicated to the storage of petroleum products and carries out various investments in our country. The meeting was attended by the Delegate Minister of Mines, Industry and Energy, Gabriel Mbega Obiang Lima.
Late on Tuesday, President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo received a German delegation of the African Development Corporation (ADC). The meeting addressed issues related to the operation and development of the National Bank of Equatorial Guinea, as well as the possibility that ADC will continue to invest in our country.
