WINDHOEK – The Orange Africa Cup of Nations Gabon – Equatorial Guinea 2012 qualifiers officially kick off this weekend with 44 teams contesting for 14 places.
The race will see a total of 132 matches being played between now and October 2011 where the victorious 14 will join the two co-hosts on January 2012.
Six matches have already been played in Group K which is made up of 5 teams following the late inclusion of Togo. Botswana already made waves by beating Tunisia in own fortress in North Africa and then recording four other points during its two other outings as group leaders.
With Botswana pulling off a shocker, football enthusiasts expect suspense-filled qualifiers and perhaps a number of shock results.
