A Case for Working in a Spanish Speaking Country

When I took this job, you remember, I requested to work in South America for several reasons, most significant among them the desire to be fluent in Spanish (see original story here). In South America (not including Brazil, where they speak Portuguese) speaking Spanish is necessary for survival. All transactions necessary for daily life take place in Spanish- acquiring food, obtaining transportation, and the vast majority of all work related activities as well. Equatorial Guinea is a distinctly different context.
