The First Deputy Prime Minister in Charge of the Economic and Financial Sector, Aniceto Ebiaca Mohete, received last Thursday in his office at the Government Presidency the Ambassadors of Cuba and of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Maria del Carmen Regueiro and Kwak Ji Hwan, respectively.
In the meeting with the Cuban diplomat, they spoke about the progress of the project of rodent control and the program to combat malaria that is currently being carried out in the country by the Cuban company Labiofam. In this program, the Cuban company is working on the elimination of mosquitoes that transmit the disease before they become adults, to prevent the transmission of malaria.
The audience with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Kwak Ji Hwan was a courtesy visit, since it is the first time that the new Korean Ambassador meets with the First Deputy Prime Minister. During the meeting they talked about ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Equatorial Guinea and Korea.
