The President of Equatorial Guinea, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, and the Prime Minister of Thailand, Yingluck Shinawatra, have signed today in Bangkok the establishment of new diplomatic relations between the two countries. The signing took place over the course of the visit that the President of Equatorial Guinea is carrying out in the Southeast Asian country.
Thailand and Equatorial Guinea established diplomatic relations in 1991, although until now they had not formalized them. This signing will lead to the opening of cooperation agreements in various sectors.
It is expected that during the official visit of the delegation of Equatorial Guinea, the President will also visit various industrial facilities, and meet with Thai businessmen and investors.
