The President received last Friday at the Hotel Mongomo the official U.S. delegation led by Deputy to the Commander for Civil-Military Activity, United States Africa Command, Anthony Holmes, and the Prince of Libya, Idris Al Senussi.
The first audience was held with the U.S. delegation and was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Francophone Affairs, Pastor Micha Ondo Bilé. The Maritime Security Zone in Africa and the need to strengthen relations between the United States of America and Africa were discussed by the speakers.
That same Friday, the President and current Chairman of the African Union granted an audience at the Hotel Mongomo to the Libyan Prince, Idris al Senussi, who was accompanied by Princess Ana Maria al Senussi.
The audience was also attended by the Minister of State for the Presidency of the Republic in Charge of Missions, Alejandro Evuna Asangono Owono. The meeting provided a framework for the Libyan Prince to extend his congratulations to Chairman of the African Union for his positive contribution to the resolution of the socio-political situation in Libya.
The Prince of Libya said “that Equatorial Guinea should be an example and its leader, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, can continue to make suggestions for the pacification of the conflict in my country”.
