The couple chaired the major events to commemorate that this year are taking place in the city of Mbini. Also, in the other provincial capitals, there were demonstrations of the same type.

On Friday, August 3, the presidential couple of Equatorial Guinea went to the demonstration that was held in the city of Mbini, to celebrate the thirty-third anniversary of the Freedom Coup. Identical demonstrations took place in other provincial capitals to celebrate this important anniversary.

The city of Mbini received in its finery the President of the Republic and the First Lady, who were entertained during their tour through the streets of the city, which this year has had the privilege of serving as a stage for the acts that took place.

After the demonstration, there were speeches by a representative of the opposition parties, by the Secretary General of the PDGE, Lucas Nguema, and various authorities, such as representatives of Parliament, the Supreme Court of Justice and the Government. The event ended with the words of the President, which, among other considerations, alluded to the importance that August 3 had for the peace and welfare of Equatorial Guinea.

After the speech by the President of the Republic, all the authorities attended the Thanksgiving Mass that was celebrated in the city’s church, and then went to the tourism resort El Amanecer of Mbini, where the official reception hosted by the Head of State and First Lady took place.

On Saturday, August 4, the celebrations that began last July 31 will come to an end, with a Mass in honor of the Fallen for a Better Guinea, which will terminate the commemoration of the 33rd anniversary of the Freedom Coup.
