The President of the Republic, who is in New York attending the 66th General Assembly of the United Nations, met with the Presidents of both countries to intensify bilateral cooperative relations.
During his stay in New York City, during the celebration of the 66th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, in his capacity as Chairman of the African Union, has held several bilateral meetings with other heads of state to enhance relations of cooperation that Equatorial Guinea maintains with these countries.
Among them, he met with the Presidents of Côte d’Ivoire and Cyprus, Alassane Ouattara and Dervis Eroglu, respectively. During these meetings, the Chairman of the African Union and its partners discussed the need to expand the framework of cooperation between their respective nations as well as other issues related to the African continent.
