The national soccer team Harambee Stars is expected to arrive in the country Tuesday morning from Guinea Bissau where they lost their 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier going down 1-0 to their hosts.
Stars were scheduled to arrive earlier but missed their flight.
The defeat at the hands of the lowly ranked West African nation leaves Kenya in a precarious position in the group which also has Uganda and Angola.
Uganda started their campaign with a resounding 3-0 win over Angola and now is on pole position with 3 points. Guinea Bissau lies second, Kenya’s is third while Angola is 4th.
The next round of the qualifiers resume in October with Kenya hosting Uganda while Angola will play Guinea Bissau.
The 2012 Africa Cup of Nations finals will co hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
