Kinshasa, DR Congo – Gabon, the CAN 2012 co-organizer with Equatorial Guinea, has decided to play a friendly tie with Senegal on 17 November, contrary to an earlier plan to play against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), sports sources in the Congolese capital, Kinshasa, told PANA Tuesday.
The Congolese squad, managed by French coach Robert Nouzaret, will play a friendly against Qatar on 14 November, the sources said.
As part of the CAN 2012 qualifiers, DRC and Senegal are in the same group with Cameroon and Mauritius.
From the first two rounds, Senegal is leading this group with six points, followed by Cameroon (4 points), DRC (1 point) and Mauritius (nil).
