World Soccer governing body, FIFA in collaboration with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will organise a conference on the FIFA Women’s World Cup, Germany 2011 from 18-20 November, 2011 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The three-day conference will analyse the tournament from a technical and tactical point of view including the performance of the African participants, Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea during the global championship.
There will also be discussions on the development of women’s football in Africa with emphasis on potential challenges, solutions, responsibilities of member associations and the development programmes of FIFA and CAF for the next four years.
Speakers include Eiji Ueda (Chairman of Japan FA’s Women’s Football Committee), Hiroyuki Horino (Assistant coach of the Japan women’s national team), Anne Noe (FIFA Instructor, Belgium)
Jacqui Shipanga (FIAF Instructor, Namibia), Michel Ritschard (FIFA Instructor, specialized in physical condition training, Switzerland)
Others are Dr Yacine Zerguini (Member of FIFA’s Football Medical Committee, Algeria), Hope Powell (Coach of the English female national team and FIFA Instructor) and Fran Hilton-Smith (Head of Women’s Football at the South Africa Football Association).
CAF Executive Committee member, Dr Molefi Oliphant will be the official representative of CAF at the conference.
