Equatorial Guinea, co-hosts of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations will face Cameroon in an international friendly on October 11 in Malabo.
The Nzalang Nacional will be using the high profile friendly to fine-tune their preparations for next year’s tourney they will be hosting with neighbours Gabon.
It would also afford Frenchman Henri Michel the opportunity to assess his side’s readiness for their maiden appearance at the continental showpiece football event.
The encounter will take place exactly four-days after Cameroon face DR Congo in their ultimate 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Kinshasa.
The Indomitable Lions must win to remain in contention for the two best runners-up slots with Senegal already qualified as Group E winners.
The draw for the tournament will take place on Saturday, October 29 in Malabo, and the final tournament from 21 January to 12 February, 2012.
