China and Equatorial Guinea pledged to deepen their cooperation and advance bilateral relations as their foreign ministers met in Beijing on Thursday.
Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi met with his Equatorial Guinean counterpart Pastor Micha, who is paying an informal visit to China.
China-Equatorial Guinea relations have enjoyed sound and steady development in recent years and bilateral cooperation has subsequently broadened, Yang said.
China is willing to work together with Equatorial Guinea to explore their potential for cooperation, Yang said.
Micha said the Equatorial Guinean government attaches great importance to its relations with China and considers China to be its most important partner.
Bilateral relations have developed rapidly in recent years and bilateral cooperation has improved as well, a fact with which Equatorial Guinea is pleased, Micha said.
Equatorial Guinea appreciates the help China has given to the country and is willing to deepen its cooperation with China in a variety of areas, Micha said.
