H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo received the CAF President, Issa Hayatou, the Vice President of Cuba, who is on an official visit to Equatorial Guinea, and the envoy of the President of the Republic of Guinea Conakry, Alpha Kondé.
The first meeting was with the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Issa Hayatou from Cameroon, with whom he discussed issues related to the opening of the draw for the group matches of the upcoming African Nations Cup, to be held starting January 2012, and organized and hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. The Organizing Committee members from both countries attended this meeting.
On the other hand, in the People’s Palace in Malabo, the Chairman of the African Union received the textual message from his counterpart, the President of the Republic of Guinea Conakry, H.E. Alpha Kondé. The president of the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Microfinance in that country, Marly Tou Barri, was responsible for delivering this message to H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
The audiences concluded with the meeting held by the President of the Republic with the official delegation of Cuba headed by the Vice President of that country, Juan Esteban Lazo Hernandez.
In addition to reviewing the various aspects of the relations of friendship and cooperation linking both countries, the two personalities expressed their desire to expand these partnerships.
