The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Joseph Kabila Kabange, arrived in Malabo on the morning of Thursday, September 29, for an official forty-eight hour visit, at the invitation of his counterpart from Equatorial Guinea, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
Yesterday, Thursday, September 29, the President of the Republic, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, came to the honorary terminal of the Malabo airport to receive his Congolese counterpart, Joseph Kabila Kabange.
Also present at the airport were various members of the Government, including Prime Minister and Head of Government, Ignacio Milam Tang, the three Deputy Prime Ministers, Aniceto Ebiaca Mohete, Demetrio Elo Ndong and Salomon Nguema Owono, as well as ministers from different departments and representatives of political parties and the diplomatic corps accredited in the country.
At ten o’clock the aircraft landed in which the Congolese president was flying, who was accompanied by a delegation from his country. Upon his arrival, he was received by the Head of State, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
Before a brief rest in the hall of honor, the Congolese President greeted the members of government, diplomatic corps, as well as the Congolese colony residing in the city of Malabo.
During his forty-eight hour stay in the capital, the Congolese president will meet with his counterpart of Equatorial Guinea in the People’s Palace of Malabo.
According to his travel schedule, he will also visit several attractions in the city of Malabo and Punta Europa, where the country’s oil facilities are located, the Hospital of La Paz, Sipopo city and the neighborhood of Buena Esperanza.
